CLEVELAND - Cleveland Motion Controls Inc. (CMC) acquired NEE Controls Ltd. (NEE), a manufacturer of microprocessor-based motion controls. NEE's multi-axis numerical controls are used, worldwide, in tens of thousands of shape-cutting machines including routing, engraving, and milling.

CMC is a manufacturer of motion control equipment including motors, drives, and numerical controls. Through its Burny division, CMC supplies numerical controls, drives, motors, and other equipment to the shape-cutting and metal-cutting industries for a variety of applications.

"In order to better service the shape cutting industry and CMC's current customers, we brought NEE on board as a complement to our Burny division," said Steve Giordano, business unit manager for CMC's Burny division. "The acquisition of NEE yields a combined 80 years experience in the shape-cutting industry and allows us to immediately extend our product lines, expand our distribution channels, and broaden our market segments."
