ATLANTA - The Chiller Systems Group held its fall meeting in Atlanta. The two-day meeting was filled with presentations and group discussions on the resources and technologies available to more effectively service large hydronic chiller systems.

Member presentations at the meeting included updates from manufacturer committees working with the major chiller manufacturers on improving access to training and technical support.

Bryan Strode of Entech Sales & Service, Dallas, presented an overview of a York Optiview retrofit performed on a chiller, and Bob Wilken of TD Industries, Dallas, and Jeff Willis of Mallory & Evans Service, Atlanta, presented a session on the future of the controls business and the importance of having a controls service capability for servicing chillers.

The keynote manufacturer presentation, made by representatives of York International, included an extensive overview of York's new chiller products. Members also voted to perform an internal survey of York's product and contractor support, with survey results to be reported back to the membership.
