ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) hosted the first meeting of the association’s executive committee, past chairmen, and manufacturer partners at a Leadership Forum held May 16-17 in Bar Harbor, Maine. According to ACCA, the purpose of the joint meeting was to bring together current executive committee members and past chairmen, along with the CEOs of ACCA’s Platinum Elite manufacturer partners in order to discuss strategic, long-range issues and concerns that will impact the industry.

The leaders in attendance sought to determine the best approach to resolve those issues that are most pressing, and position the HVACR industry to develop and implement business plans in response to emerging marketplace issues.

“One of the major goals I had when I came to ACCA was to tap into the resources of our past leaders. These individuals led ACCA through some dynamic times, and they have seen the ups and downs of this industry. Their insights can help us chart the future course of ACCA,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO.

The association said that the meeting will become an annual event used to help ACCA leadership guide the association.
