The Model 2024 vibration switch is designed to work directly with building automation control systems and variable-frequency drives for monitoring fans, motors, and pumps. When the vibration limit is exceeded, the switch trips an alarm on the building automation system computer in the facility control room. According to the manufacturer, the switch can be wired to provide automatic shutdowns to prevent catastrophic failures. Alarm and/or shutdown settings are user adjustable. The switch features a time delay for transient protection to prevent nuisance trips, the company says. The limit output relay has both a normally open and normally closed contact. The switch is covered by a two-year warranty.
