NORMAN, Okla. - Coleman Heating and Air Conditioning is equipping its Libertiesâ„¢ dealers with a new Web-based business planning tool, the Business Analyzer. Available online, this software is a component of the Business Training University, under the Coleman Liberties Program.

The Business Analyzer equips dealers to understand their business operations and provides a consultation tool to improve their overall business performance, the company said. Once logged on, users are guided through a step-by-step format that captures organizational and financial information specific to their businesses. The program is designed to act as an analytical tool, calculating and comparing the data against a database of industry-specific metrics and ratios. An electronic "consultant's report" is generated that shows how the user's business measures up to key ratios and identifies specific areas of the business that are contributing to variances outside those ratios.

The report also provides corrective measures contractors can implement. Users who seek further consultation on a specific business issue or variance are provided contact information for Collier Consulting, an HVAC industry consulting firm and the creators of the Business Analyzer.

"Business Analyzer offers comprehensive business consultation support from manufacturer to contractor that is unprecedented in our industry," explained Mickey Smith, Coleman brand marketing manager.
