Faster Inc.: Refrigeration Ball Valves
April 11, 2003
The LW “Laser Weld” Series of brass refrigeration ball valves allows the service technician to isolate a portion of the refrigeration system for service, such as performing a manual pump down or to control a bypass line to change driers or filter cores, the company says. The valves are designed with a full flow port, which provides for unrestricted flow and low pressure drop across the valve. They are capable of bidirectional flow. The Series has a patented bleed port built into the chrome-plated ball, which balances pressures within the valve to reduce the torque required to open the valve. Six body sizes, with copper tube sizes from 1/4 to 2-5/8 inches, are available. Configurations for metric tubing also are available.
