The Companion™ Model 325 combustion analyzer is designed for residential burner-boiler tuning and adjusting. According to the company, this unit eliminates the old, slow, “shaker bottle” technology in combustion analysis, replacing it with portable, solid-state reliability. It measures temperature, O2, CO2, CO, efficiency, excess air, and draft. It is preprogrammed for heavy and light fuel oils, natural gas, and propane. Sampling and retesting can be performed within 60 sec, the company says. Features include one-button “draft measurements,” “print,” and “differential temperature.” Accessories include an ambient air probe, clamp temperature probe for piping, and surface temperature probe for surface and underfloor heating measurements. Kits based on Companion Model 325-1 (O2, CO2, and CO) and on Model 325-2 (O2 and CO2) are available. The kits contain the analyzer, probe, and magnetic-back case.
