The new line of RH (relative humidity) transmitters includes a weather shield that aids in the sensor’s accuracy and lengthens its lifespan, says the company. According to the manufacturer, the shield’s disc material has been formulated for maximum weather resistance, such as against precipitation and solar radiation, low thermal conductivity, and high reflectivity. The transmitters measure rh from 0% to 100%. Two models have a temperature sensor that can measure outside temperatures from -40 to 140 degrees F (-40 to 60 degrees C). The mounting bracket that comes with all the units places them 6 in. away from the wall in order to reduce thermal effects that would distort the readings, says the company. The units come with a three-year warranty.
