The new ESW line of closed–circuit coolers uses 30 percent to 50 percent less energy than other induced-draft fluid coolers and 70 percent to 80 percent less energy than forced-draft coolers, claims the company. The manufacturer states that 100 percent of coil heat is removed by sensible heat transfer; no evaporation takes place in the coil. All evaporative cooling occurs in the counterflow fill section. Fan motors are accessible from the outside of the unit.
