The UV Bio-Wall™ uses the company’s proprietary UV process to bombard viruses and bacteria, rendering such contaminants sterile, the company says. The product is composed of individual UV arrays that work together to provide a “barrier wall” of germicidal UV energy, which will destroy virtually any biological contaminant that would pass through it, the company says. Each unit has five high-intensity, 19 mm quartz lamps, which are mounted to parabolic reflectors that reflect 360 degrees of germicidal radiation, states the manufacturer. The number of arrays depends on the size of the duct, the velocity of the air moving within the duct, the specific contaminants to be treated, and the desired percent kill.
