ST. LOUIS, MO — The 2001 Profit Platoon of the Year for AirTime 500 recently donated $10,000 in support of the armed forces deployed to Afghanistan and their families. The winning profit platoon decided to take a portion of their profits and donate it to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society during the AirTime 500 Expo, held in New Orleans, LA, Jan. 8–12.

Brigadier General (Select) James Flock, Deputy Commander for the Marine Forces Reserve stationed in New Orleans, accepted the donation on behalf of the relief society.

Due to the events of Sept. 11, AirTime’s Profit Platoon 10 decided to commit 1% of each service call and 2% of all installations from their business to the armed forces. Members of the platoon include: Shamrock Heating and Air Conditioning, Carol Stream, IL; Lawrence Heating and Air, Elk Grove, IL; Transite Heating and Air Conditioning, Cedar Lake, IN; and North West Heating, Des Plaines, IL.
