GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL — Munters Moisture Control Services (MCS) recently unveiled its Emergency Response Unit (ERU). The unit was developed to provide dehumidification for buildings during an emergency or natural disaster. The ERU is a self-contained package mounted on a ready-to-roll trailer. It includes a desiccant dehumidifier and a generator, which are both powered by propane gas, eliminating the need for electricity.

“The ERU is capable of handling all sizes of commercial properties from small structures to large buildings,” said Ken Armstrong, MCS regional manager. “Portability and integrated power make the ERU ideal for fast response. We back the trailer up to the building, attach a hose, and immediately circulate the air needed to dehumidify the interior and eliminate the risk of mildew, mold, or corrosion.”

Armstrong also said that the ERUs are strategically located at MCS locations to provide service throughout the U.S. and Canada. There are 30 MCS offices in both countries and its technicians are available 24 hours a day.
