The Boiler Energy Saver (BES) reduces energy costs by lowering the boiler water temperature during periods of warm weather, thereby reducing standby heat loss, the manufacturer says. The company states that the product also increases occupant comfort by circulating hot water at a lower temperature during periods of warmer weather, thus reducing temperature overswing. Its built-in solid-state microprocessor accumulates data from a primary and secondary heating zone to control the boiler water temperature. The BES doesn’t need separate room temperature sensing devices, outdoor temperature sensors, or secondary thermostatic controls, says the company. It is compatible with domestic hot water systems.
