CHICAGO, IL — According to organizers of the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo), the 2003 event is on track to become one of the largest gatherings when it convenes at Chicago’s McCormick Place next January 27-29.

Show management reports that more than 360,000 square feet of exhibit space has been reserved for the expo by nearly 1,200 companies, making it significantly larger than the 2002 AHR Expo held in Atlantic City. Space-wise, 2003 already ranks as the third-largest gathering in the show’s 73-year history.

The show will have a strong international presence, as 168 companies from 28 different countries are planning on exhibiting. Organizers are expecting several thousand international attendees from more than 100 countries to visit the 2003 expo.

Finally, the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) is the latest association to lend its endorsement to the AHR Expo. NEBB will join 16 other associations that have created an alliance with the annual expo.
