According to the company, the UV Bio-Wall is composed of individual UV arrays that work together to provide a “barrier wall” of germicidal UV energy designed to destroy biological contaminants that pass through it. The Bio-Wall is capable of destroying 99.9% of biocontaminants in the entire ventilation duct in a single pass, claims the company. The number of Bio-Wall arrays needed depends on the size of the duct, the velocity of the air moving within the duct, the specific contaminants to be treated, and the desired percentage of biocontaminants killed. Each unit has five high-intensity, 19-mm quartz lamps that are mounted to aluminum parabolic reflectors that reflect 360 degrees of germicidal radiation.
