PRINCETON, N.J. - American Standard hosted the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors National Association's Educational Foundation's board of governors for an update on foundation projects and educational efforts. Highlights of the meeting included the announcement of a new training program aimed at teaching contractors how to accurately determine their overhead costs and recover these expenses. Meeting attendees also learned about Network '06, the PHCC and American Supply Association's (ASA) joint convention and exhibition that will feature foundation-sponsored seminars and keynote speakers.

Joe Maiale, vice president of American Standard's Wholesale Sales Americas Bath and Kitchen Division, treated meeting attendees to a behind-the-scenes tour of the company's research and design center in Piscataway, N.J. Jim Driscoll, chairman of the foundation board of governors, expressed his appreciation to American Standard for hosting the meeting and opening the doors of its design facility. "Most people take a toilet for granted. Every one of these meeting attendees now has a much deeper appreciation for the hard work that it takes to create quality products," he said.
