M-KC insulated flexible duct.
CHICAGO — Thermaflex announced that the Greenguard Environmental Institute (GEI) has awarded its Greenguard certification to Thermaflex M-KC flexible ductwork.

According to Thermaflex, Greenguard has certified that the M-KC duct is low emitting and has minimal impact on indoor air quality. To earn the certification, the flexible duct underwent a series of emissions tests for levels of total particles, formaldehyde, and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Thermaflex said that the product will undergo quarterly monitoring tests to provide ongoing assurance of its low emitting status. Greenguard’s indoor air quality standards are based on the requirements used by the state of Washington and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
