American Plumbing & Mechanical Inc. (AMPAM) (Round Rock, TX) announced its operating results for the quarter and six-month periods ended June 30, 2002. Revenues decreased $11.9 million, from $160.7 million for the three months ended June 30, 2001, to $148.8 million for the three months ended June 30, 2002. The company also announced that it would shut down its commercial operations headquarters in Sacramento, CA, and Pensacola, FL, as well as its southern Virginia single-family residential operations.
WFI Industries Ltd. (Fort Wayne, IN) announced its second-quarter sales for 2002. Sales increased 10% for the quarter and are up 15% for the year to date. Net profit for the year is up 16% vs. last year, but net profit for the quarter was lower than second-quarter 2001 ($858,000 vs. $1,066,000).
