MINNEAPOLIS, MN — DTN Weather Services/Meteorlogix will release Winter Weather 2002, a satellite-delivered, PC-based information system that allows real-time access to regional and national forecasts for severe winter weather.

According to Meteorlogix, the Winter Weather 2002 system is beneficial to energy industries by affording crew dispatchers advance knowledge of where and when heavy ice or snow potential will occur.

“Winter snow and ice storms impact everyone in their path,” said Marty McKewon, Vision series manager, DTN Weather Services/Meteorlogix. “Winter Weather 2002 is designed to provide our customers in the transportation and energy industries with active forecasting and tracking of potentially deadly snow and ice storms. As a result, our customers can make more informed business decisions regarding preparing for and coping with these dangerous weather events.”
