The MB3000 - HEU is a global positioning device for heavy equipment. This unit uses a conglomeration of GPS, cellular, and Internet-based technologies to assist in theft prevention and recovery as well as monitoring hours of operation for equipment. The unit has a starter-disabling device that can be activated after the machine engine is turned off. The tracker sends a warning via company beepers, e-mail, and/or fax when equipment leaves its assigned jobsite. The hours of operation reporting can be used in equipment maintenance efforts or for billing purposes, says the company. Equipment location information and other data are sent by the Aeris MicroBurst® network. Map-driven solutions and performance data are available in real time at the manufacturer’s website.
