A new series of the DashDSP™ digital signal processors for motor control, the ADMCF34x features enhanced motor current sensing integration. This enables a 30% reduction in system component count and control bill of materials cost, states the manufacturer. These items are the first embedded DSP controllers to offer this high level of mixed-signal integration for motor current sensing, says the company. The ADMCF340 features 13 analog channels and 25 digital I/O channels; the ADMCF341 is a 28-lead SOIC unit with six analog channels, three voltage inputs, and nine digital I/O channels.
