BIG RAPIDS, MI – The Hvacr Department of Ferris State University announced that it will hold its 2001 Michigan Hvacr Instructor’s Seminar on Tuesday, July 24th. The motivation for the event is to “increase appreciation among hvacr colleagues and spread some positive ideas and methods for solving common issues.”

Nearly 50 hvacr instructors and administrators from Michigan and some neighboring states have been invited to visit the campus and enjoy a day of discussing “real” topics with their peers. The cost if $0, but participants are responsible for their own travel expenses.

The 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. “well ventilated” seminar will touch on the following topics:

  • Student recruitment
  • Articulation agreements
  • Industry partnerships and donations
  • State of administrative support
  • ARI-PAHRA versus Excellence Program certification
  • NATE versus ESCO technician certification
  • Contractors hiring students prior to graduation
  • Discussion suggested by attendees
