Healthy Climate™ germicidal lights are effective in killing viruses, mildew, and other harmful molds and microbes in ducts and coils, says the company. The UV lights are installed in the home’s ductwork, and their ultraviolet light rays destroy surface and airborne particles by damaging the DNA of these microorganisms. The lamps employ a patented process that ensures maximum UV output for the duration of their life, the company says. Digital circuitry provides “intelligent ballasts” that supply optimum current level automatically based on operating conditions, says the manufacturer.
