IRVINE, Calif. - FieldCentrix, a leader in wireless, Internet-based software solutions for field service, announced that United Maintenance, Inc., has successfully integrated FieldCentrix wireless FX Mobile™ software for field technicians with Maxwell's® popular dispatch and accounting modules.

The solution has streamlined United Maintenance's day-to-day business functions and reduced the customer billing cycle from two weeks to two days. All of the company's 28 field technicians are now using FX Mobile and handheld computers to service customers.

"FieldCentrix and Maxwell are helping us achieve our goal of a more efficient, paperless office," said Pat Rogers, president and founder of United Maintenance. "Most obviously, the solution has eliminated paper in the field. Now work orders are sent back electronically to the office - the same day - and an invoice sent to the customer the next day. This process used to take us up to two weeks. We've eliminated paper and improved our cash flow."

"Field service companies are clamoring for an integrated back-office, field service automation solution," said Judy Johnson, senior vice president of marketing with FieldCentrix. "United Maintenance proves the business benefits of two best-of-breed vendors acting as one."

FX Mobile Maxwell Edition guides field technicians through the entire workflow of a service repair or maintenance action. The software features electronic work orders, equipment inventory by job site, signature capture, street maps and recording of additional repair opportunities. Using handheld computers, field technicians can instantly access customer, equipment, and job site information in the Maxwell database.

FX Mobile works in conjunction with Maxwell's dispatch and accounting software. Designed for HVAC, electrical, mechanical and other construction-related service companies, the software automates a company's business processes. Work orders are entered while the customer is still on the phone, dispatched immediately to the company's field technicians, and then billed via the service ticket process. Customer invoicing can be completed using actual material costs, or inventory and purchasing estimates. Reporting is accomplished using Maxwell's standard reports, formatted reports and other popular drill-down and ODBC reporting tools.
