The Solar Star® is a solar-powered attic fan. Unlike typical non-motorized roof ventilators, this unit is powered, operating completely on solar energy that is continuously collected and converted to electric power by a solar panel. The unit features a sleek, contemporary design; rugged, metal housing; and advanced solar panel for optimal performance, the company says. Providing up to 1,200 sq ft of circulation coverage, the built-in motor exchanges air at a rate of up to 800 cfm.

Solatube International, Inc., 2210 Oak Ridge Way, Vista, CA 92083-8341; 800-966-7652 or 760-597-4400; 760-599-3099 (fax); www.solatube.com (website).
