  • Honeywell Commercial Air Products (Minneapolis, MN) has formed a strategic alliance with Air Purification Technologies, LLC (Valencia, CA). The alliance will combine both companies' air cleaning technologies to address indoor air quality (IAQ) issues in commercial spaces including health and critical environments, such as hospitals, day care centers, clean rooms, and laboratories.
  • Notifact Corp. (Fairfield, NJ) announces the availability of its WMS transceiver for use with the Beacon® refrigeration control system from Heatcraft Refrigeration Products (Stone Mountain, GA), providing plug-and-play wireless monitoring. The WMS provides real-time monitoring of hvacr equipment by applying Internet server and wireless technologies.
  • AAON, Inc. (Tulsa, OK) announces record net sales and earnings for the third quarter. Sales for the period climbed 13.1% to $39.6 million from $35 million for the corresponding period of 1999. Net income gained 20.8% to $3.4 million (or $0.55 per share) compared to $2.8 million (or $0.43 per share) a year ago.

  • The Marvair Division of Airxcel (Cordele, GA) is expanding its manufacturing capabilities to accommodate strong growth in its key markets. The company is adding 98,000 sq ft of plant space with 14 truck bays, which will help with the overall material handling for its air conditioning units.
  • Wolverine Tube, Inc. (Huntsville, AL) reports net income for the third quarter of $5 million, or $0.40 per diluted share, a 21% increase over last year. This increase exceeds the consensus estimate of $0.39 per share. For the third quarter of 1999, net income before restructuring and other charges was $4.3 million, or $0.33 per diluted share.
