ROCKVILLE, MD — The Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA) will hold its 16th annual educational conference in Dana Point, CA, Oct. 3-6. A variety of educational opportunities for service contractors will be presented.

An optional one-day seminar will be held on Oct. 3, called “Managing Small Projects.” The seminar will be taught by Tim Wentz, professor of construction management at the University of Nebraska. Participants will learn how to assess owner risk; develop proposals; and handle preproject planning, changes in scope, documentation, and claims.

On Oct. 4, Desi Williamson, former scholar-athlete at the University of Minnesota, will be the opening session’s keynote speaker. The rest of the conference will be devoted to educational sessions, including “Claims Without Enemies,” “Service Excellence: Value Through Leadership,” “Wireless Technology,” “Working with Generation X,” and “Opportunities in Energy Service.”
