DALLAS, TX — Trinity Industries, Inc. announced it has received an order to build 700 state-of-the-art refrigerated boxcars for Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company. Named TRINCool™, the boxcar will transport perishable products ranging from fresh produce to frozen foods.

TRINCool said it applies a more reliable, fuel-efficient refrigeration system that runs only when necessary. These high-tech cars will use a global positioning system (GPS) to provide precise location information, and a two-way satellite communications system that is able to detect temperature fluctuations and make necessary adjustments.
