This electronic actuator is for laboratory applications. It is designed to work in vav applications, where rapid movement of the damper actuator is required for control of space pressurization. Typical use includes fume hood damper actuation and pressurized room control. Because electronic actuation is fast, safety issues related to airflow are satisfactorily resolved, so that an air compressor and plastic tubing are no longer needed for labs in a ddc building, says the company. The electronic actuators are an integral part of the company’s Apogee™ automation system.
