By using the auction process, companies that list material may realize greater returns than they would in a typical catalog-style listing with a fixed price. Three auction types are available: Open Cry, Sealed Bid, and Dutch. Other HVAC Auction features include:

  • The ability to set a minimum acceptable sale price;

  • A specified time period for the auction, or immediate termination when a buyer offers the requested sale price; and

  • Immediate notification of successful bid, with shipping and delivery information automatically forwarded to the buyer and seller via e-mail.
