Course Title: The Hidden Risks of Building Green in Warm and Humid Climates: Why Moisture Problems are Likely and How to Avoid Them

Course Description: This seminar identifies the specific reasons that green buildings are at increased risk for failure and what must be done to avoid potentially catastrophic problems. Topics include: Why green buildings are at increased risk of failure; preventing green building failures in warm, humid climates (specific techniques to implement); legal risks of new design concepts; contract risk, contract forms, and risk reduction language; insurance issues for green buildings; and final tips for managing design, construction, and development of successful green buildings.

Course Title: Installer Certification Training

Date: Nov. 18-20, 2008

Location: Atlanta

Course Description: This course is a three-day comprehensive course focused on the installation of geothermal heating and cooling systems. The course includes an open book exam for accreditation as a certified ground-source heat pump installer by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association. Those who pass the exam will receive an installer’s card and a certificate and will be listed as an accredited geothermal installer.
