OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — SPX Cooling Technologies Inc. recently outfitted an 18-foot mobile trailer with displays of field-erected cooling tower components as well as several Marley innovations, including the new M Series Geareducer®, Comp-DS Driveshaft, HP 7000 Fan, and a broad range of heat transfer fill types.

The trailer was parked at the outside display area during the 2017 Southern Company Generation Technical Conference from Aug. 22-24 at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama.

Later in the month, the trailer travelled to the Duke Energy Fossil/Hydro Technical User Groups and Vendor Expo at Embassy Suites in Concord, North Carolina.

Visitors to the trailer saw the quality and design of Marley components compared with other OEM versions in side-by-side hands-on displays. The mobile trailer also included scaled-down cross sections of Marley F400 counterflow and F600 crossflow towers to illustrate design and component differences of each tower type.

SPX representatives were on hand to demonstrate the benefits of Marley components for field-erected cooling towers. For more information on the mobile trailer, or SPX’s full-line of full-service evaporative and air-cooled heat exchangers, visit www.spxcooling.com.
