Customer: HVAC laboratory at Atlantic Technical College, Coconut Creek, Florida

Installation: 5-ton Inverter Ducted Split System Condensing Unit and Air Handler

Completion: September 2016

Objective: The IDS Air Handler and Condensing Section was brought to Atlantic Technical College as a means of training HVAC students in the Florida Department of Energy, Architecture, and Construction Career Cluster program — Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating Technology.

According to Brian Youngblood, certified master HVACR educator (CMHE) at the Coconut Creek campus, there are currently 36 full-time adult students and five dual-enrolled, part-time high school students in the morning class and two part-time Magnet high school students in the afternoon class.

“This system will be a tool for training future HVACR technicians, especially in this system’s modern electronic control systems,” he said.

Work Completed: A 5-ton Inverter Ducted Split System Condensing Unit and Air Handler was installed. As part of the donation, Bosch technical service associate Omar Mcintosh and warranty administrator Maryna Kamkova arranged shipment and installation of the unit.
