Taco Comfort Solutions was recently honored with a 2016 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island Award from the Providence Business News. Taco received the same award back in 2011.

Wil VandeWiel (pictured above in the center), COO of Taco Comfort Solutions, accepted the Best Places to Work in Rhode Island Award at the event ceremony from Stephen Farrell (left), CEO of United-Healthcare, which served as the presenting sponsor; and Mark Murphy (right), editor of Providence Business News.

The annual Best Places to Work in Rhode Island Awards are managed by the Best Companies Group, a B2B media partner company that provides survey tools and comprehensive reporting for identifying/recognizing best employers within a city, state, region, or industry.

Companies from across Rhode Island engaged in a two-part survey process conducted by BCG. The first part focused on workplace policies, practices, philosophy, and systems (25 percent of total score) with an employee survey to measure the employee experience as the second part (75 percent of total score). Combined company scores determined the winners.

Additionally, Taco Comfort Solutions also recently received an Exemplary Worksite Health Award from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce for its programs encouraging employee health and well-being. Taco boasts a well-established Employee Wellness Program and has earned the Exemplary Worksite Health Award for 11 consecutive years.

“We’re very pleased and honored to receive these awards of recognition for the way we operate Taco,” said VandeWiel. “Our employees are our most important asset, and it’s been a long practice by the White family and Taco management to do its best by them when they come to work each day.”
