EL CERRITO, Calif. — Hassler Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. of El Cerrito, California, was named the 2015 Home Upgrade Program Contractor of the Year by PG&E and Energy Upgrade California. The Energy Upgrade California Home Upgrade Program is an initiative to help Californians save energy, conserve natural resources, help reduce demand on the electric grid, and make informed energy management choices at home. The program offers up to $6,500 in rebates when energy-saving home improvements are made, and there are over 250 participating contractors in the program.

The honor of Contractor of the Year is awarded to the company that has shown the greatest overall dedication to safety, customer satisfaction, and home performance. Home performance refers to the comprehensive whole-home approach to identifying and fixing comfort and energy efficiency problems in the home. In the previous year, Hassler was awarded the Home Upgrade Program Momentum Award for completed program job growth of over 1,000 percent from 2013 to 2014.

Tim Hassler, CFO of Hassler, said, “This award is a source of great pride for our company, and shows our dedication to providing our customers with the best possible home energy solutions. It is very gratifying to be recognized for the ‘whole house’ perspective that makes Hassler unique. We take a comprehensive approach to a home’s comfort, efficiency, and safety — and are able to offer custom solutions to match each home and homeowners needs, whether that’s equipment upgrades, insulation, indoor air quality solutions, or other improvements.”
