ST. LOUIS — Emerson Climate Technologies Inc., a business segment of Emerson, recently announced the integration of its St. Louis-based White-Rodgers and Flow Controls businesses into a single organization beginning Oct. 1, 2015.

Jack Huether, president of White-Rodgers and an Emerson executive with more than 30 years of HVAC industry experience, will assume responsibility for the new entity.

“This new alignment leaves us well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of our customers and industry partners,” Huether said. “Our focused approach to the market, combined with a strong team that is ready to address today’s fast-changing connected home dynamic, will allow us to solidify our core electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical business and continue with our emphasis on high-tech innovation.”

The consolidated business, operating as White-Rodgers, will feature a strong portfolio of heating and cooling products, including furnace and water heater gas valves, ignition controls, thermostats, expansion valves, and system protection components sold under the White-Rodgers and Emerson brands.

White-Rodgers will continue to be part of the Emerson Climate Technologies Inc. business platform led by Bob Sharp, executive vice president and business leader, Emerson.

“The alignment of these two businesses will create a much stronger offering from Emerson Climate Technologies in the HVACR market, and the synergies in product development, engineering, and operations will provide customers with better solutions to their system requirements,” Sharp said.

Huether also introduced several changes in the sales and marketing organizations to support this new alignment. Geoff Godwin will assume the role of vice president of OEM sales for the global business. Bob Brown was named vice president of aftermarket sales including the U.S., Latin America, and Canada regions. Ed Blittschau was announced as the vice president of marketing and product planning. This transition will occur over the next several months as the two organizations work through realignment of all areas of the business.
