ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — Greenstar Home Services, a privately held, multi-state provider of HVAC and plumbing services, has acquired A-Ames Plumbing and HVAC, based in Garden Grove, California. This acquisition marks the seventh company Greenstar has acquired in the past three years.

“We are committed to being the industry leader of in-home services dedicated to best in class service and employee retention,” said Jeremy Prevost, Greenstar CEO. “A-Ames’ history of demonstrating commitment to service and employee satisfaction coincides with our company’s mission, and we look forward to continuing our growth through the addition of reputable service providers in the communities we serve.”

Established in 1966, A-Ames is one of the oldest plumbing and HVAC companies in Orange County. A-Ames has been voted one of the top plumbing contractors in the state and has been awarded Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association (PHCC) contractor of the year.

Jeffrey Ballard, Greenstar Home Services president, will oversee strategic alliances in the Orange County areas that will be incorporated into A-Ames. Colin Martodam, COO, will oversee all operations retaining Ames’ current staff and work from the existing headquarters in Garden Grove. A-Ames will maintain its brand name.

To build on the acquisition and benefit the locally recognized A-Ames, Greenstar plans to add a full line of green and eco-friendly options for customers.

“Almost 60 years ago, A-Ames pioneered the modern day home service company model to the Orange County area and has since grown to be one of California’s leading plumbing and air conditioning contractors,” said Jeffrey Ballard, Greenstar Home Services president. “The A-Ames team brings years of experience and knowledge, and we are proud to have them as part of the Greenstar Home Services family. We look forward to growing our presence in California with a continued focus on industry leading service.”
