Panasonic Eco Solutions North America: Residential Vent Fan

The Energy Star-rated, easy-to-install EcoVent™ vent fan incorporates the Veri-Boost™ feature to ensure that designed airflow is achieved to help meet ASHRAE 62.2, Energy Star 3.0 for Homes, LEED for Homes, California Building Standards Code Title 24, CalGreen, and most green building programs without compromising the look and style of any bathroom, said the company. According to the manufacturer, energy raters are now verifying the airflow of installed vent fans prior to certifying that they meet green building standards, so it is becoming increasingly important that products are installed that actually deliver designed airflow; EcoVent with Veri-Boost provides the necessary power and ensures that fans will pass verification testing. The compact 70-cfm ventilation fan has a quiet operation of 1.1 sones at 0.1 water gauge (wg). The Veri-Boost integral switch provides a 20-cfm boost, helping ensure the fan meets designed airflow requirements and provides Ventilation Verification Assurance greater than or equal to 50-cfm installed performance. At 50 cfm, EcoVent still has a quiet operation of 1.4 sones at 0.25-inch wg. For ease of installation, EcoVent includes a 4-inch duct adaptor and a low-profile housing that fits in 2-by-6-inch construction. The product comes in contractor packs and can also be combined with the WhisperGreen™ ventilation fans.
