The AC Series™ desuperheaters recycle rejected heat from air conditioning or refrigeration systems and use it to safely heat water or other fluids, the manufacturer said. The desuperheaters can be mechanically cleaned for reduced maintenance and improved performance. The vented double-wall design prevents cross-contamination. According to the company, the desuperheaters work with all major manufacturers’ systems. The heat recovery units can be used for systems ranging from 5-200 hp using reciprocating, scroll, and screw compressors. The units arrive as a standard factory package that is ready to install, and can be applied to both air- and water-cooled systems.
