Rosenberg Shows New B-Wheel Backward Curved Impeller FanNEW YORK — Rosenberg has introduced a new configuration of its B-Wheel backward curved impeller fan that provides even better performance for 180 degree applications. The new B-Wheel spider module features a smaller motor mounting plate and thinner support legs for less restrictive airflow in HVAC, data center cooling, and other applications.

Available in seven impeller sizes from 250 mm to 500 mm, Rosenberg B-Wheel spider modules are built with the same total height profile and four-bolt mounting structure as standard module fans for easy installation, but weigh up to 3 Kg. (6.6 lbs.) less.

The B-Wheel impeller features a seven-blade design (instead of the standard eight) in which the blade diameter is smaller than the outside diameter of the cover and support plate, allowing it to act as a rotating outlet diffuser. This new wheel geometry and improved paddle design provide for impeller efficiencies up to 78 percent while reducing noise by up to 1-4 dBA. It also increases airflow compared to standard impellers operating at the same speed.

The product received an honorable mention in the Ventilation category of the 2014 AHR Expo Innovation Awards competition.
