It is the night before the AHR Expo begins and I think everyone connected to the show is enjoying the nightlife. I, for one, decided to take it all in. There was the Emerson Climate Technologies party at Cipriani’s Wall Street, Danfoss hosting us at B.B. King’s Bar, and hilmor serving them up at the beer garden.

Luckily I paced myself. That was the rookie mistake I made in my first few years covering this big show. It is a marathon, not a sprint. If you stay out too late that first night, it makes for a real long week.

The word on the street? Everyone seems to want to discuss the weather. Mainly, if there is going to be a lot of snow during the show. I have heard so much about the great New York AHR snowstorm of the late 1980’s that I almost feel like I was a part of it. Here is hoping the snow waits until Manning and Wilson battle for the Lombardi trophy.

Enjoy the show tomorrow and check out a highlight video from last year’s Expo.
