LOWELL, Mass. — TRC Companies Inc., a leader in engineering, consulting, and construction management services to the energy, environmental, and infrastructure markets, announced that it has acquired EMCOR Energy Services Inc. (EES), a subsidiary of EMCOR Group Inc., in an all-cash transaction. TRC expects the transaction to be accretive during the second half of fiscal 2014.

Based in San Francisco, EES provides engineering consulting services to utilities to support their energy programs in California. Services include related engineering, technical review, compliance, verification, and administration of utilities’ energy efficiency programs. EES revenue for the calendar year 2013 is estimated at $4.4 million.
