Rosenberg USA: Backward Curved Fans
Backward curved fans with electronically commutated motors (ECMs) are now available in 5.5-kW models for greater power and efficiency in a wide range of HVAC and air-movement applications. The fans feature three-phase motors with nominal input voltages of 230 and 460 V. Features include closed motor, protection class IP 44/54 for reliability in humid environments, and thermal contacts wired into windings for motor protection. Standard maintenance-free ball bearings, closed on both sides, are sealed for life. The range of sizes for the new KH Series fans includes 450, 500, 560, 630, and 710 millimeters (mm). They deliver up to 7 inches of water gauge of static pressure, or up to 14,000 cfm of airflow at free air, perfect for a wide range of HVAC and air-movement applications, the company said. The fans can be supplied as complete modules equipped with airflow optimized inlet cones. Module enclosures and inlet cones are made from galvanized sheet steel. The fans feature extended-life, low-temperature brushless dc motors that are controlled by maintenance-free electronic circuitry. They are 100 percent speed controllable and are Conformité Européenne (CE)-, Underwriters Laboratory (UL)-, and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)-approved. The fans can be made to customer-defined specifications including airflow, power, rotational speeds, noise level, overall dimensions, and finish.
