Videofied is a wireless alarm system that sends a short video clip to central monitoring stations to verify the alarm and initiate priority police response to arrest an intruder. According to the company, it can be used to prevent copper theft. Video verification prevents police dispatch to false alarms and the resulting fines to property owners. The Videofied system is battery-operated and can be installed anywhere there is a cell signal. The system can feature remote arming/disarming and system management with a smartphone app. It works outdoors, indoors, in any weather, on rooftops, and in extreme temperatures (-20 to 140°F), the company said.
