As 2014 nears, The NEWS is proud to honor those who made a significant impact on the HVAC industry in 2013. This diverse class of NEWSmakers represents industry organizations, contractors, manufacturers, distributors, and more. Each honoree has overcome a number of obstacles — big and small — to achieve great things on behalf of the HVAC industry.

One NEWSmaker selflessly came to the aid of a police officer during an altercation while awaiting a job, while another appeared before Congress to lobby against harmful taxation.

A third NEWSmaker came out of a nearly three-year retirement to help revive and restore profitability to a national contracting chain, while yet another worked to help eliminate potentially dangerous counterfeit refrigerants.

A fifth NEWSmaker’s year started ominously, but turned around in a big way when he began working with HVAC industry organizations on home performance, while another NEWSmaker emerged as COO of a very important industry organization.

While each selection paints a different portrait, they all exemplify pride and passion for the HVAC industry. The NEWS is proud to honor its NEWSmaker class of 2013. Please click on each NEWSmaker's name below to read his or her story.
