Dec. 2, 2013: Emerson Photo Contest Searches for Thermostat Works of Art

The Top Three Vote-Getters Will Win Prizes

ST. LOUIS — Emerson Climate Technologies has announced the launch a contest, starting today, via social media for contractors and homeowners to share photos of thermostat works of art. Emerson is now accepting photos of decorated thermostats on its Facebook page. Participants can then encourage their online friends to vote for their photo. The top three vote-getters will win prizes.

Emerson said it launched the contest after seeing the popularity of thermostat art on social sites like Pinterest, where its White-Rodgers brand has developed a following of homeowners and home designers sharing creative ways to “hide” or decorate thermostats. For inspiration, contest participants are encouraged to check out the Pinterest board at www.pinterest.com/whiterodgers/decorate-your-thermostat/.

Participants can submit their photo through the contest application on Emerson’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/EmersonClimateTechnologies, or on Instagram, using hashtag #ThermostatArt. Participants may enter multiple photos in the contest and each individual can vote on the entries one time per day. Emerson will award Amazon.com gift cards to the top three entries. Voting ends Dec. 31.

The contest page is located at https://apps.facebook.com/meltwaterpromo/608019.
