FENTON, Mo. — Johnson Controls Unitary Products Group (UPG) celebrated the grand opening of its newest factory direct store, which sells York, Guardian, and Source 1 parts and supplies to St. Louis area contractors.

As the York brand is the Official HVAC Partner of the NHL, the event also included appearances by former NHL players Tony Twist and Terry Yake. Both men played for the St. Louis Blues and were on hand to sign autographs and pose for photographs with guests. Contractors also had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a television, and tickets to Blues games and a St. Louis Cardinals game.

“We could not have been more pleased with the turnout,” said Factory Direct UPG branch manager Berrah Brown. “The event provided a great opportunity to meet our customers, engage them in meaningful conversations about their businesses and their needs, and share with them the parts and supplies we offer, and the many ways we can help them achieve their goals.”

The Fenton location caters to contractors looking for a one-stop shop that offers a simple, clean layout in a familiar footprint.

“We are working hard to standardize our store structure and improve the customer experience, incorporating a convenient parts locator system and easy access to staff so that contractors can get in and get out quickly,” said Jeffrey Meyer, Johnson Controls vice president, factory direct & intra-company channels, North America.
