Started in 2010, Heat U.P. Wisconsin has become an annual event for independent Lennox dealers across Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to help people in need.

Each year on the first Saturday in October, participating dealers and their employees reach out within their local communities to provide free installations of high-efficiency Lennox gas furnaces for individuals and families in need. Up to 100 furnaces are provided at no cost by Lennox with all labor and installation materials donated by the installing contractors and their employees. Joining the campaign in 2011, Honeywell has provided free thermostats for these installations.

Since the programs start just three years ago, more than 213 furnace installations have been provided, offering more than $1 million in support to local families. Recipients include families or individuals representing a wide range of needs from physical and mental disabilities to financial struggles, job loss, unemployment, or the passing of a loved one. Heat U.P. Wisconsin has also offered support and thanks to many who have or currently serve in the military.
