Providing long-lasting MERV 13 performance, the City-Flo XL is a particle and molecular filter. It is manufactured in numerous standard sizes. According to the manufacturer, it uses a unique high-efficiency fiberglass media bonded to a broad-spectrum carbon-adsorbent material, which provides exceptional control of particulate and odors, including a very wide spectrum of airborne chemicals. At rated airflow, the filter provides ozone removal efficiency exceeding 30 percent. For higher adsorption efficiencies, the airflow may be reduced, increasing contaminant contact time with the adsorbent and gaseous contaminant capture efficiency. City-Flo XL is rated for continuous service at up to 122°F (50°C). It has a distinctive tapered pocket design to maintain low airflow resistance and ensure full media use, and a galvanized steel frame for greatest structural integrity where airflows vary, or are unusually turbulent, said the company. The filters are individually packaged to protect the integrity of the adsorbent, and ensure full-published efficiency at the time of installation.
