The Heil® QuietComfort® DXC single-stage heat pump is designed to interface with the Observer™ communicating system, making it easy to install and service, said the company. It can achieve up to 9.0 HSPF, up to 15.5 SEER, and up to 12.5 EER when installed as part of a complete Observer communicating system. Once configured, the Observer communicating wall control will connect to the heat pump and Observer furnace or fan coil, display information on the touchscreen, and configure the system for optimal performance. The single-stage heat pumps are available in capacities ranging from 1.5-5 tons and feature high- and low-refrigerant service ports, quiet-shift defrost control settings, and coated inlet grilles. The single-stage scroll compressor has a thick shell enclosure and sound blanket.
